Whatever be the background of a litigation between the spouses, it cannot be so acrimonious to deny the right of a father to his daughter, said the Supreme Court overruling the judgement passed by the Kerela High Court and granting child visitation rights to the father.
It also added that even grandparents accompanying such a father for visitation can be given access in the local Family Court.
“We make it clear that in the view of the highly estranged relationship among the parties, the family court will see that the child is not taken outside the premises of the Family Court, but at the same time father alongwith the grandparents could get some time to interact with the child in the premises of the Family Court”, Supreme Court said.
